Morag Atchison - Vocal Tutor

Morag is one New Zealand’s leading young sopranos. A graduate of the University of Auckland and the Royal Academy of Music (London), Morag has sung in the UK, Europe, the USA and Africa. She has worked with conductors including Sir David Willcocks and Sir Colin Davis and has sung at renown venues including Wigmore Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. Since returning to New Zealand, Morag has sung with choral societies and orchestras throughout the country including Auckland Choral, the Orpheus Choir of Wellington, the Christchurch City Choir, the City of Dunedin Choir, the NZSO and APO.
She was a Blümenmadchen in Parsifal at the New Zealand International Arts Festival, and sung First Lady in The NBR NZ Opera Production of The Magic Flute. Morag teaches voice at the University of Auckland and also teaches singing in a number of Auckland schools (Westlake Girls’ High, St Kentigern College), is a vocal tutor for the Auckland Chamber Choir and the NZSSC and is a sought-after tutor for musical workshops around the country.
