Next Concerts

2010 is almost upon us, but much to do in the planning area before we hang the Christmas stockings.  

Our next engagement for the New Zealand Youth Choir and for Voices New Zealand Chamber Choir is the Mahler 8 concert for the New Zealand International Festival of the Arts on 26 February at the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington. Book early for this concert - conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy and featuring some of our Alumni as soloists, it is an event not to be missed.

We are also planning a concert at Parliament House for an invited audience.  Please check this page again closer to the time to see how you can add your name to the guest list.  The concert will take place in the week beginning 22 February 2010.  

INTERNATIONAL TOUR

In June/July next year the New Zealand Youth Choir will travel to Asia and Australia for concerts.  The itinerary is taking shape and will include World Expo in Shanghai, South Korea, Singapore, Brisbane, Canberra and Sydney.  The choir of 52 are required to contribute towards the costs and this is where you can help.  Are you looking for corporate entertainment?  Groups of choir members can get together and perform for you.  Please email us on choirs@nzyc.co.nz if you would like to enquire.  Our members come from all over New Zealand, so do ask us if we can help you.
