Warwick Mitchell

Warwick Mitchel started singing in school choirs from a very young age. In his senior year at St Andrews College, Christchurch, he had singing tuition from
the late Clifton Cook who encouraged him
to join The Christchurch Harmonic Society Choir where, at the age of 17, he was thrown in to the tenor section and sang his first Messiah. He met his wife of 31 years, Catherine, in the choir the following year.

In 1993 business opportunities took him north to Auckland and after 23 years, Warwick continues with the Freightways Group in the role of National Sales and Marketing Manager for Post Haste Limited, the parent company of the three Freightways brands.

Warwick is currently Chair of the Auckland Choral Society, a position he has held for the last eight years.
