Hear the iconic poetry of Janet Frame set to music and song by illustrious New Zealand composer Jenny McLeod. New Zealand’s world-class national chamber choir Voices New Zealand joins this country’s foremost chamber ensemble, the New Zealand String Quartet, showcasing their critically acclaimed talents individually and in a unique collaboration, with an overall theme of text in music, the highlight of the programme is both groups performing McLeod’s powerful finale drawing on 11 of Frame’s poems – giving new form to the  lyrical and emotional intensity of these verses.
